September 13 @ 11:50 am - Taken looking east down Stewart Road, there were still many fires burning on the island as you can see in this smoke filled scene. It's nearly noon and the streets are almost completly empty, winds and rain had died down hours ago and I was beginning to wonder when people would start filtering back home. Little did I know that the ignorant City of Galveston officials had roadblocks and checkpoints to keep residents from returning home.
